Calling all snappers

BUDDING talents have a little over two weeks to get their entries in for the Photographer of the Year competition.

The deadline was extended last week until September 28 to ensure that snappers across the Dales have enough time to find that picture-perfect shot.

There are two categories – one for under 16’s and one for those aged 16 and above – and the winners will receive a trophy as well as having their pictures displayed on Matlock Town Council’s website.

Pictures must be taken within the Matlock town boundary and both the council and the Mercury reserve the right to publish all photographs submitted.

Entries must include the photographer’s name, age, address and telephone number and should be emailed to news@matlockmercury.co.uk or sent to Matlock Mercury, 37 Station Road, Chesterfield, S41 7XD.
