Car went onto its side near Matlock school

Traffic was halted when there was an accident outside a school in Matlock.

At around 4pm on Friday a fire crew from Matlock was called to Chesterfield Road where a car had gone onto its side near St Jospeh’s School.

Firefighters extricated a casualty from the vehicle and made sure the scene was safe.

They left the scene at 4.23pm and the casualty was left in the care of the ambulance service.
