Charity cycle ride dressed as a cat, Elaine Mcglinchey

Drivers who spot Catwoman cycling down the A6 today should fear not – it’s all for charity.

Elaine McGlinchey will be cycling from her home in Bakewell to work, Nagle Nursery, in Matlock.

She is undertaking the task in order to raise money for Ashgate Hospice, inspired by a drive by radio station Peak FM to support the local cause.

Elaine explained: “I have had a new close family members who have suffered from cancer.

“The hospice have got to raise about £3 million a year to stay open and I want to help it.”

Elaine is not an avid cyclist, but is putting that aside to support the charity.

“I decided to do it dressed as a cat because it’s near to Halloween and it was an easy outfit to ride in,” she continued.
