Choose a health hero
PATIENTS, staff and members of the public are being encouraged to nominate their unsung NHS hero in a national awards recognition scheme.
The national NHS Heroes scheme was launched by Health Secretary Andrew Lansley earlier this month to coincide with the NHS’ 64th birthday.
Now people from Dales are being encouraged to nominate any member of staff who has made a difference to them.
Dr Ben Milton, chair of NHS North Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “The ‘NHS Heroes’ scheme is our chance to say thank you for the fantastic work our staff do and ensure they get the recognition they deserve.”
A recognition certificate will be given to every member of staff nominated.
