A specialist animal rescue team were called when a highland cow became lodged between a tree and some rocks yesterday.

The unit from Matlock joined firefighters from Chesterfield to aid the animal, which was near a riverbed off the A621 at Baslow.

The crews were called at 12.49pm and managed to free the beast by 3.59pm.
