A man brought “back from the dead” by staff at Bakewell Swimming Pool has returned to thank the people who saved his life.

David Berrecloth, 83, was visiting the pool last year when he collapsed in the main reception.

Pool duty manager Lee Rathbone and colleague Dave Pryor used a defibrillator and the kiss of life to revive Mr Berrecloth after he stopped breathing.

The former herdsman, of Rowland, said: “I can’t thank them enough.”
