Dolls houses and toys on show at Bakewell exhibition

An exhibition of dinky treasures will start this weekend in a church hall.

The exhibition of dolls houses, dolls and toys will be held between August 9 and 25 in the Newark Room of All Saints’ Court, Bakewell.

Money from the event will go towards the church’s roof appeal.

Among the items on display will be toys dating from late Victorian times to the 1930s.

There will be a preview evening on Friday when Pat and Bill Bryant will be on hand to talk about the exhibits.

Tickets will cost £10 and include a glass of fizz on arrival and canapés.

After this, the exhibition will be open between 11am and 4pm with free entry.
