Drawing the dragon
Dragon drawing competition
Budding young dragon enthusiasts and artists are being given the chance to win a beautifully illustrated book in a fun competition run by the organisers of the Matlock Festival.
The Market Square Group, together with children’s entertainment troupe, Off With the Fairies, are encouraging children under the age of ten to be creative and draw or paint a picture of a dragon.
The one judged the best will win the beautifully illustrated book, Dr Drake’s Comprehensive Compendium of Dragonology.
Kids should write their name, age and contact telephone number on the back of the drawing before handing it in at the ‘Off With the Fairies’ Encampment at the festival, in Hall Leys Park, by 2pm, on Saturday September 8. The winner will be announced later that afternoon.
