Easter events galore enjoyed in Belper

Belper folk were filled with the joys of spring as they took part in Easter events this weekend.

Eggs galore were seen around the town as people took part in Easter egg hunts, Easter treasure hunts and bonnet parades.

Specsavers in Belper was the first to kick off the fun with an Easter bonnet parade and colouring competition. Passers-by watched the parade outside the King Street store on Saturday, April 11.

Bank Holiday Monday, April 13, saw an Easter egg hunt take place at the White Hart Inn, Bargate. The day was organised by Belper Neighbourhood Watch.

An Easter treasure hunt also took place at the North Mill on Monday. Mill manager Sharon Cooke said visitors had to hunt around the mill looking for clues to find their bounty.

Staff and visitors were dressed in Easter costumes for the occasion.
