Eco B&B nominated

ONE Dales farm has been shortlisted out of 1600 global nominations in the Virgin Holidays Responsible Tourism Awards.

Beechenhill Farm, near Ilam made a first class impression with their Pilot Light Project – a programme that aims to reduce the environmental impact of their farming and tourism business on the Peak District.

Over the last three years Beechill Farm reduced its carbon footprint from 41 tonnes to 14.4 tonnes by installing a range of renewable technologies.

Owner Sue Prince said: “Our guests are warmer and cosier in our accommodation and are often inspired to try our ideas at home.”

The Award ceremony will take place at the World Travel Market this month.
