Expert planning advice for Peaks residents

Peak District residents are being offered expert planning advice at two evening events.

The national park authority's planning officers will answer questions about house extensions, renewable energy schemes, conversions, designs, materials and development locations.

Sessions are being held at the Methodist Hall, in Hathersage, on Thursday, September 24, and at Aldern House, in Bakewell, on Tuesday, October 13, both from 5pm to 8pm.

Planning committee chairman Cllr Hilda Gaddum said: "These surgeries make it easier for residents to get the advice they need to submit appropriate planning applications with the right information."

To book a 15-minute slot at either of the events, email customer.service@peakdistrict.gov.uk or telephone the national park authority on 01629 816200.
