Final call for food award

CULINARY businesses across the Dales are being urged to enter a prestigious competition to become Derbyshire’s flavour of the year.

The Food and Drink Awards 2012 celebrate the county’s finest catering businesses serving locally sourced food on their menus.

The closing date for entries into the awards is October 26 and a presentation evening will take place for winners at Chatsworth House on January 14.

Councillor Kevin Parkinson, Derbyshire County Council Cabinet Member for Regeneration, said: “I’d urge businesses to nominate themselves for the Derbyshire Food and Drink Awards which go from strength-to-strength.”
