Free life coaching to help jobless find work
UNEMPLOYED people in Matlock are being offered free life coaching to help them get back into work.
Coaching practice Goddard Consultants, based on Wellington Street in the town, is offering the innovative service.
Director Serena Bradshaw said: "Being out of work or unable to find meaningful occupation just adds to the stress in our lives. That's why we set up this project – to help people who are unemployed and have concerns about their mental wellbeing.
"Coaching is proven to be highly effective yet it remains the preserve of senior executives because it's so expensive.
"But, thanks to funding from the Learning and Skills Council, we're able to offer the service free of charge to people who really need it."
Coaches work with their clients to plan their future, support them and help them to maintain a positive outlook.
