HAVE YOUR SAY: New year and a new look for your paper

GOOD news! Your weekly Buxton Advertiser is getting a brand new look for a brand new year - and we want readers to get involved.

The Advertiser, which has loyally served the communities of the High Peak, Hope Valley and Derbyshire Dales since 1842, will take on a fresh, bright new look when it relaunches next month.

We will be introducing an attractive high-quality page design, bursting with all your regular news, sport and entertainments - plus some fresh new features.

We will also be improving the way we interact with readers, whether it be through our popular letters page, via social media and of course on our own website www.buxtonadvertiser.co.uk, which will continue to bring you all the latest breaking news at it happens.

We aim to put our readers at the heart of the relaunch, and are planning to introduce a dedicated page featuring readers’ pictures, as well as a number of new columnists. So tell us if there is anyone you would like to hear from - or perhaps you would like to get involved?

Readers will start to see a few changes over the next few weeks in readiness for our big relaunch - and in the meantime we want you to tell us what you would like to see in your new-look local newspaper.

What are the issues that matter to you, and how can we get involved? We had a fantastic response to our ‘Hands off Corbar’ campaign against the closure of Buxton’s Corbar Birth Centre, and are currently leading the fight against controversial plans to close ambulance stations across the area.

We are keen to fight your corner, so let us know if there are any campaigns you think we should be spearheading.

Plans are already in place to revamp our popular neighbourhood news page to include even more of your community news and events, and we will be aiming to find out more about what’s happening in our local schools.

In the coming weeks we will be giving you a sneak peek of our new look and its many new interactive features, so please let us know what you think.
