Residents and businesses have a chance to give their views on a draft review and update of Bradwell conservation area.

Five slight changes to the area are proposed in the Peak District National Park Authority’s draft document, which is available for public consultation until February 21. Bradwell conservation area was originally designated in 1976 to protect historic features.

The draft appraisal proposes to include part of an ancient medieval field system bounded by Hugh Lane, Town Lane and Granby Road in the conservation area. It is also proposed to include Beggar’s Plot and Brook Barn and exclude Rock Bottom on Brookside.

Anyone interested is invited to the Memorial Hall, Netherside, Bradwell, on February 11, any time between 4.30pm and 7.30pm to talk to conservation officers about the draft appraisal and proposed boundary changes.

The document is available for public consultation until February 21 and can be viewed at www.peakdistrict.gov.uk/bradwellconservation or the Peak District National Park Authority’s headquarters , in Baslow Road, Bakewell.
