Hayfield May Queen events

Community groups and organisations in Hayfield are being invited to apply for a share of donations from the village’s May Queen event.

Any groups needing help with funds or equipment should write to 2 Swallow House Crescent, Hayfield, SK22 2HD before February 17.

The 2014 royalty has now been chosen but more youngsters are needed to get involved with the retinue. Organisers are looking for beefeaters, sword bearers, petal throwers and flower girls. The positions are open to anyone of school age or over, contact Zoe on 07735 094166 for more information.

A coffee morning is taking place on March 15 with an exhibition of May Queen memorabilia, a tombola and cakes.
