Hayfield May Queen parade

Plans are well under way for the 87th Hayfield May Queen parade and festivities which take place next month.

This year’s event is being held on Saturday May 10 when there will be a variety of events for all the family to enjoy.

A carnival market and fun fair is being held on the may queen field, off Swallow House Lane, from 11am and the grand parade will leave Station Road at 1.30pm.

Carnival programmes are now on sale in Village News, Village Store, Rosie’s Cafe, the Post Office, the Royal and at the camp site in the village.

Organisers are still looking for craft, food and collectors stalls for the market and anyone wishing to have a space, take part in the parade or register for one of the best decorated competitions should call secretary Zoe Wild on 0773 5094166.
