Arkright's Cromford Mill

A festival that celebrates the history of the Derwent Valley Mills now has even more to offer visitors.

The eighth World Heritage Site Discovery Days Festival starts this Saturday and takes place over nine days, offering more than 200 events to history lovers.

There will be tours walks and workshops, as well as an evening of Halloween and traditional songs and stories in Cromford on November 2.

On Novermber 3 and 4, the houses in North Street, in Cromford, which were built to house the workers of Arkwright’s Mill, will be open to the public.

There will also be a an exhibition of a private motorcycle collection, a torch–lit procession to Masson Mill.
