Human rights charity talk

AN international charitable figure will be giving a talk on human rights next week.

Rona Keen, Amnesty International’s country coordinator for West and Central Africa, will be giving the talk hosted by Wirksworth and District Amnesty Group on Wednesday, October 24.

The talk, which will take place at 7.30pm in the Baptist Church Hall, in Coldwell Street, Wirksworth, is entitled ‘The Democratic Republic of Congo and its Neighbours – a Human Rights Assessment’.

The Wirksworth and District Amnesty Group meets monthly at the Boat Inn, Cromford.
