Indian restaurant in seventh heaven
An Indian restaurant is celebrating seven years in Matlock with a birthday bash.
Maazi, in Causeway Lane, first opened its doors to customers on October 8 2005.
Now to mark its seventh anniversary, the restaurant is offering people 25 per cent off the cost of meals throughout Monday night, as well as glass of bubbly on arrival.
Owner Irfan Shabir said: “It’s been a hard journey and I never thought we’d last this long.
“When we arrived, there were five other restaurants in town, but over the years we have been able to build up a connection with the local people.
“We are proud to have found Matlock – it’s a wonderful place.”
