Jewellery stolen during Buxton burglary

Thieves stole high-value jewellery from a house in Buxton during a break-in on Friday.

Seven rings were taken from the property on Harpur Hill Road, sometime between 11am and 5pm.

The homeowner raised the alarm after discovering the back door of the property had been damaged.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire police said: “It appears a search was carried out of the property and an amount of high-value jewellery taken.”
