Families will be able to enjoy some free fun in the park this weekend.

Hall Leys Park, in Matlock, will be the venue for Xplorer – a navigational challenge for the whole family to enjoy.

Between 10.30am and 12:30pm on Saturday youngsters will be able to use a simple map to find secret markers throughout the park.

The task has been designed to allow children to run around in a safe and friendly environment.

Parents are encouraged to join in the fun and can even create family teams.

The event is free for everyone to take part and there will be help and support to get people started.

No map reading skills are necessary.
