Legendary Tree

A guided walk organised by Derbyshire Wildlife Trust is set to visit a tree that inspired a well-known nursery rhyme.
The walk – which takes place on Thursday, November 1 – goes to Shining Cliff Woods near Ambergate.

Among the trees there is the famous Betty Kenny Yew, believed to be the inspiration for Rock-A-Bye-Baby. The woods are also home to several other ancient trees.
