A community pantomime company is giving people the opportunity to become dames and villains as it holds autitions for its next production.

The Shoestring Players, based in Bakewell, are getting ready to stage their next pantomime, ‘Mother Goose’, and are looking for new recruits to bring the story to life.

The show will be performed in Bakewell Town Hall in January and rehearsals will begin later this month.

Auditions will be take place this Tuesday at 7.30pm in the Newark room of All Saints Church, in South Church Street, Bakewell.

Anyone is invited to come along and try out for a part, or simply meet the players.
