Lorry smashed
There was traffic chaos after a lorry crashed into the railway bridge at Ambergate.
The accident on the A6 occurred at 3.30pm yesterday leading the lorry to overturn.
A fire crew from Belper was called to the scene and firefighters proceeded to make the vehicle safe. Noone was trapped in the truck.
Traffic was backed up due to the road being closed while emergency services attended the incident. This is the second time the bridge has been struck by a lorry this year.
