Man accused of carrying machete in Gamesley

A 49-year-old man has been accused of carrying a machete in Gamesley.

Noel Maher, of Mottram, failed to attend High Peak Magistrates’ Court on Monday due to medical reasons.

He is also charged with possessing a folding pocket knife, a lock knife and 5.55g of heroin at Tissington Bank on March 5.

The case was adjourned until July 7.
