A Buxton man has been warned he could be sent to prison after admitting stalking his ex-partner.

Paul Wilson sent letters, text messages and voicemails to Cheryl Hardy and her family, some of which contained details of Ms Hardy’s sex life, High Peak Magistrates’ Court heard.

The stalking began after the couple split up last November, and Wilson, 50, of Solomon’s Court, also threatened to contact social services about the care of her child, and tried to get her driving licence revoked by the DVLA, prosecutor Jennifer Fitzgerald said.

Chairman of the bench Michael Hilton told him: “From what this bench has heard about this offence it is likely you will go to custody.”

He will be sentenced on May 28.
