Man who died in A515 crash named

A man who died after a three-car collision on the A515 on Thursday has been named as Gareth Todd.

The accident happened at around 8.05pm near Biggin and involved a Peugeot 206, a Peugot 407 and a Mazda 6.

Gareth, 21, from Hadfield, was driving the Peugeot 206 and sadly died as a result of the collision.

The 48-year-old driver of the Mazda, from Buxton, suffered an ankle injury and was taken to Stepping Hill Hospital for treatment. A man and woman from Great Longstone, who were in the Peugeot 407, were treated at Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Royal Hospital for minor injuries and later released.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses, or anyone who saw any of the vehicles before the collision to contact them on 101.
