More snow is expected in Matlock today

Matlock residents have woken up to a dusting of snow this morning following an overnight shower.

Motorists are advised that while main roads after moving smoothly at the moment, some side roads may be icy.

There have been no reports of either road or school closures. To stay updated on school closures in the area, sign up to Derbyshire County Council’s email alert service by visiting www.derbyshire.gov.uk/education/schools_colleges/school_closures/default.asp.

The Met Office has forecast more snow for lunchtime today.
