High Peak legal firm Bakers Solicitors has announced the appointment of Buxton-based Kirsten Collings as one of two new partners.

Criminal solicitor Kirsten and family solicitor David Parkes have formed a new partnership with founder of the Glossop-based firm, Ian Baker.

Kirsten, who previously ran a franchise branch of Swinton Insurance in Buxton, retrained and qualified as a solicitor in 2000 and joined Bakers Solicitors in 2005, helping to develop the criminal department.

She is also a High Court Advocate, able to represent clients within all levels of the court system including the High Court and Court of Appeal.

Excited by the challenge of her new role, the mother-of-three said: “I am confident that together we can develop the business to meet the challenges ahead. I am optimistic that Bakers can continue to serve the local community by providing quality legal advice to clients who find themselves in difficult circumstances.”
