New path

HIGHWAYS chiefs are to build a new pavement in Buxton.

The path will be built on one side of Batham Gate between the end of Waterswallows Lane and the A6 to help pedestrians get to the bus stops on the A6 at Tomthorn.

Four local companies – Nestle, Tarmac, Lomas Distribution and Barry Wood – will contribute £6,500 towards the £13,4000 scheme. Derbyshire County Council is providing the remaining £6,900.
