Nominate your hero

THERE are only two weeks left for people to vote for their health service heroes as part of a scheme that aims to recognise the work that individuals and teams do every day.

NHS Heroes was launched in July to coincide with services 64th birthday and celebrates staff that go the extra mile to improve life for patients.

The scheme encourages patients and their families to nominate staff members and teams whose compassion and kindness has made a difference to their lives.

Lew Hall, Lead Governor, said: “Every day staff work to improve the experiences of patients and their families, and it’s great to think they will finally be recognised.”

The closing date for entries is September 21 and anyone in the NHS can be put forward.
