Police call reduction

Police have seen a reduction in calls for anti-social behaviour over the Halloween and Bonfire Night period.

On October 31, 2011 a total of 392 anti–social behaviour incidents were reported compared to 337 this year – a reduction of 14 per cent.

Between November 2 and November 6 2011 there were 1,379 anti–social behaviour incidents reported to police. Between the same time period this year there were 906 incidents reported – a reduction of 34 per cent.

Each year Derbyshire Police hand out free posters to discourage unwanted trick or treaters from calling on residents.

Police officers also hand out posters to local shopkeepers informing their customers that eggs and flour will not be sold to anyone under the age of 16.
