Police name men, 22 and 23, who died in motorbike crash

Police have named the two men who died when the motorbike they were riding crashed on a notorious road.

Just before 11.35pm yesterday, the motorbike travelling from Matlock towards Chesterfield on the A632 Amber Lane stretch at Kelstedge collided with a wall.

The 23-year-old rider, Daniel Green, of North Wingfield, and his 22-year-old passenger, Jamie Lynch, of Chesterfield, were thrown from the blue Honda motorbike and suffered fatal injuries. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesman for Derbyshire police said: “Specially trained officers are working with the families.”

The road was closed for several hours as police carried out investigations.

Derbyshire police are appealing for witnesses to contact the collision investigation unit on 0300 122 8147.
