Police still trying to identify man found dead in reservoir

Police are still trying to identify a man whose body was found in a reservoir.

A member of the public called police at about 3pm on Saturday after spotting the body in Ogston Reservoir near Clay Cros.

The man was aged between 50 and 60, of slim build and balding with dark hair. He was wearing a black, zipped jacket, a navy sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Police have checked missing persons records and have not been able to identify the man.

Officers want to hear from anyone who might know the identity of the man or may know someone matching that description who they have not seen for a short time.

Anyone with information should call Derbyshire police on 101.

• Police have confirmed this incident is not linked to the disappearance of Michael Peach.
