AN attraction has welcomed a the head of a national organisation to Matlock Bath.

John Minhinick, national president of Rotary International Great Britain and Ireland (RIBI), visited the Heights of Abraham.

He was accompanied by district governor Dave Ashley, assistant governor John Shipman, Matlock Rotary Club president Peter Wigglesworth and Past District governor Gordon McGlone.

The visit was part of a series of visits to clubs in the district helping to raise awareness of the wide ranging role the 58 local rotary clubs play and also to say thank you for the various fund–raising initiatives which help fund their work.

The Heights of Abraham host a Wishing Well for Matlock Rotary Club located near the cable car top station for visitors to leave a donation.
