Prize freeze your new look Mercury at just 45p!

There’s just one more week until your Matlock Mercury is relaunched with an exciting new look and some great new content.

We’ve been listening to what you told us you’d like to see in your local paper and we’ve made some changes.

One of the key areas you highlighted was the entertainments coverage in the paper and so we’ll be including a special new section dedicated to theatre, music and local leisure activities.

The new Mercury entertainments section will also feature a new listings service for local events, shows, concerts and exhibitions.

Along with all these improvements, the cover price of the Mercury will rise on relaunch to 70p.

Like so many businesses in today’s economy, we face a battle with growing costs, but we believe that the Mercury still represents great value for money.

And to reward all the thousands of loyal Mercury readers, we’re freezing the paper’s subscription price. That means that by subscribing to the paper you’ll get it for just 45p a copy- cheaper than the current cover price!

When you subscribe, we’ll send a set of vouchers out to you that can redeemed at all good local retailers.

It’s hassle-free and you can buy your Mercury where and when you want to, simple paying with your voucher. We even take care of your next set of vouchers, sending them out before your current set have been used up.

It’s easy to subscribe, just go to www.subscriptionline.co.uk/mat and follow the simple instructions.

Alternatively, call our subscriptions team on 0844 991 64 64 and they’ll do it all for you and answer any questions you may have.

Editor Phil Bramley said: “We never forget that our job is to serve the community that we have been a part of for so many years.

“The relaunch gives us an exciting chance to improve the look of the paper and to bring you new features - like an improved entertainments section, puzzle page and new columnists.

“And we will continue to report on the key issues that matter most to you - like the Bakewell Road site, Matlock housing plans and Costa coffee in Bakewell - just as we’ve always done.”
