Road rage assault in Matlock

Police are appealing for information after a bus driver was injured in a unprovoked road-rage assault.

On Tuesday, December 4 at 7.50am, a bus driver was driving the M4 bus along Willersley Lane in Matlock.

Suddenly a gold coloured 4x4, ‘04’ registered vehicle drove towards the bus from the opposite direction – causing the bus to swerve.

The driver of the 4x4 became verbally abusive and then grabbed the bus driver through the bus window and punched him in the mouth.

The man is described as white, 5ft 7ins tall, 40-45 years old with short ginger hair and a short ginger beard. He was wearing a blue and red wooly hat.
