Scare away tricksters

POLICE have launched a poster campaign in a bid to stamp out malicious trick or treaters this Halloween.

The posters – which people who do not want to be visited can display in their windows – aim to combat the annual trend of increased anti-social behaviour around Halloween and bonfire night.

Officers will also be giving a different poster to shopkeepers informing customers that eggs and flour will not be sold to anybody under the age of 16.

To add further reassurance to residents, neighbourhoods will see increased patrols and officers will use powers to disperse large groups of youngsters if they are found to be causing nuisance.

For further information, or to get hold of the Halloween posters, contact the Safer Neighbourhood team by calling 101.
