TEENS have been showing off their sporting skills to officials in the Houses of Parliament.

Chloe Chandler and Abi Akehurst, who attend Highfields School, Matlock, met with MPs and paralympian Baroness Tanni Grey–Thompson as part of the Energy Club initiative.

The 17–year–olds, from the Rural Derbyshire School Sports Partnership, demonstrated some physical activity sessions to the group of top bods.

Partnership manager Janice Price said: “I was incredibly proud of the girls. It takes great confidence and leadership skills to execute such a short snapshot of a school programme in such a succinct way. The MPs taking part had great fun and judging by the encouragement and laughter from the large audience of their peers, they definitely got the healthy messages across in a way they would remember.”
