Stood on ex-partner’s foot

A Bradwell man is to be sentenced at the crown court after admitting assaulting his ex-partner by standing on her foot.

Richard Bramley went to Nicole Bailey’s house just before midnight on March 15 and became angry after discovering two other males at the property, prosecutor Jennifer Fitzgerald told High Peak Magistrates’ Court. He began shouting at one of the men at the address before stepping back and standing on Ms Bailey’s foot.

Bramley, 28, of Main Road, admitted assault by beating. The offence was committed while he was subject to a suspended sentence order imposed at Derby Crown Court so magistrates sent the case to the crown court for sentence.

Bramley will appear at Derby on June 4.
