‘Super’ Darley Dale care home given go–ahead

A new age of care for the elderly is set to hit the Dales as plans for a ‘super care home’ are approved.

Derbyshire County Council has given the thumbs up today for a 32 bed care home to be built on land next to the Whitworth Hospital, in Bakewell Road, Darley Dale.

Part of a £200million shake up of services, the home will be able to care for dementia patients, as well as provide respite care and rehabilitation.
