Swim to raise funds
Swimmers can jump in and help raise vital funds needed for charity.
Swimathon 2012 has set up five unique challenges for participants, in order to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care or Sport Relief.
Derbyshire Dales District Council is allowing Arc Leisure Matlock’s, pool to be used in the fund raising event from April 27 to 28. While Bakewell Swimming pool will host the swimathon from April 28 to 29.
Swimathon Weekend President, Duncan Goodhew said: “These amazing people have raised more than £34 million for charity to date and, we’re aiming to raise record amounts for not one but two important charities.”
