Tansley kids get weaving

WILLOW weaving took place at Tansley Primary School as youngsters created an eco-friendly dome for the school grounds.

The school has been running a Grounds For Change project, led by Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, which has included planting fruit trees, vegetable bed and creating a pond and a wildlife sanctuary.

The willow dome is the latest addition to the grounds following a 300 garden grant from Derbyshire County Council.

Headteacher Tracey Holmes said: "The dome provides a special place for the children to go within the school grounds. They all enjoyed making it and have learnt a new skill."
