The official Tour de France Grand Départ trophy is in the Peak District until Sunday.

It is on display at Bakewell visitor centre, in the 17th century market hall, from 9.30am to 5pm.

The Grand Départ enters the national park at Holme village, rides over Holme Moss – the Peak District’s greatest cycling hill-climb and one of the race’s toughest challenges which carries points for the King of the Mountains title – on to the Woodhead Pass, through Langsett and Bradfield and into Sheffield.

Tony Favell, chair of the Peak District National Park Authority, said: “It gives everyone who lives and works here a unique opportunity to showcase our beautiful landscapes and vibrant communities to the rest of the world.”
