TREE on fire

FIREFIGHTERS from Matlock were called into action after reports that a tree was on fire.

On Wednesday, November 21 at 3pm, crews dashed to School Road in Matlock where they confirmed that a large tree was well alight.

The blaze was contained within the trunk of the tree and crews used back-pack water jets to extinguish the blaze.

Firefighters quickly made the scene safe.
