THREE Dales schoolchildren were no doubt popular amongst peers after their artistic skills earned them treats for their entire class.

Hannah Beamiss, 5,of All Saints School, Cally Needham, 10, of South Darley School and Alfie Mosley, 7, of Darley Dale Primary School, were all awarded a tin of chocolates and a £5 voucher after they all designed winning birthday cards to mark Sainsbury’s five year anniversary.

At an presentation on Thursday, October 4, the youngsters went to the supermarket to collect their prizes from deputy store manager Mike Clay.

Alfie, who made his card from all recycled products, said: “I really like my prize and I’m pleased my card was picked.”

Hannah said: “I was the last person to finish my card and I’m so happy to have won.”

Cally added: “I put a lot of work into my card so I’m really happy.”
