Wessington crash victim recovers in hospital

The driver of a pick up truck is recovering in hospital following an accident.

The A615 between Wessington and Tansley was closed on Friday after a Ford Ranger Thunder pick up truck and a Ford Fusion collided.

The 38–year–old driver, of Brackenfield, was taken via air ambulance to Northern General Hospital in Sheffield.

He is now being treated for a punctured lung and six broken ribs.

Police believe two children involved in the incident escaped uninjured.
