editorial image

Police are seeking witnesses after a group of youths attempted to rob a man as he walked through Bolsover town centre.

At around 9pm on Sunday, February 16 a 43-year-old man was walking through the former Co-op car park, off Oxcroft Lane, when he was approached by a group of teenage boys who asked for money.

The man refused and a scuffle ensued before the group ran off in the direction of the market.

Nothing was stolen but the victim suffered cuts to his face.

There were around eight offenders who were white, around 16 to 18-years-old, and spoke with a local accent. Two were wearing black hooded tops and one wore a white coat.

Anyone with information is asked to call Bolsover CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
