Lots of interesting items up for grabs in charity auction

A SIGNED Ricky Hatton photo and a Wedgewood Tea Set are just two of the items on offer in a charity auction taking place in the High Peak this weekend.

The event, on Saturday night, has been organised by the Friends of Chapel Memorial Park as part of their ongoing fund-raising for new children’s play equipment in the park.

The special guest speaker on the night will be Chapel-en-le-Frith’s Paralympic gold medallist Anthony Kappes, and the event is being held at Rems Cafe Bar, Market Street, Chapel, from 7.30pm.

Other items on offer in the auction include tickets to a Manchester United home match, a round of golf at Chapel Golf Club and a cocktail/evening dress donated by Angela Seymour Silks.

Items can be viewed in the window of the former Swish Dress Agency on Market Street.

Sealed bids for any of the items on offer can be made before the auction night, with the auctioneer placing bids on behalf of bidders on the night.

Sealed bid forms should be sent to Friends of Memorial Park, c/o Town Hall, Market Street, Chapel-en-le-Frith, High Peak, SK23 0HP.

More details on the items, and the full auction catalogue, can be found online at www.friendsofchapelmemorialpark.org.

The Friends of the Memorial Park would like to thank everyone who has helped support their fund-raising and charity auction, including Rems Cafe Bar and Buxton Opera House.
